We’ve put together a simple and easy follow guide to create the perfect review style video, a long with top performing examples from other creators below and also product features and benefits in case you need help.

1. Before you start - lights, camera, action.

1. Lighting is everything

You don’t need 3 profession soft box lights to make a good review video, although that’s always handy!
If you don’t have fancy lighting, just use natural light! We find this to be super easy and produces incredible results. Just make sure you are shooting in a well lit room and that you are also well lit in the shot.

2. Camera

Phones these days have great rear cameras that shoot 4k and can create some really good content if given good lighting. We prefer for the shots to be filmed on the rear camera in 4K or full HD instead of the front camera as it’s of a lower resolution.

3. Video Flow

We have a unique, well thought out flow we’d like you to follow, please see below the breakdown:

2. Start With a Bang! (Hook 3: Seconds)

This is probably the most important part of your video. You want to grab the attention of the audience within the first 1-2 seconds (our attentions spans are getting shorter and shorter!)

Feel free to get creative here, but some great hooks styles can be:
- camera zoom in
- doing something wacky
- a bold claim
- state the problem you are having (then later how the product solves this problem)

Some best performing hook examples for you:

• “I was sick and tired of trying to find my cables every night so thats why I decided to get a ______.
• “The ______ has literally saved my life. I no longer have flat devices!
• “Do you always run out of battery when you need it the most? Fix that with the ______.
• “I’ve tried the ______ and I’m never going back to my old ______ again!”

3. Problem/Solution First (Body part 1)

Firstly in the body section we like to talk about a pain point you’ve personally experienced, and then how our product has helped solve this for you.

We have created a list of the main features and benefits of the all our main products below, however, we would love for you to express how it has helped you. This is the section where it’s ideal to include some demonstrating footage (b-roll) in with your talking video.

Some examples of problem/solution:

• “I was sick and tired of trying to find my cables every night so thats why I decided to get a ______.
• “The ______ has literally saved my life. I no longer have flat devices.
• “Do you always run out of battery when you need it the most? Fix that with the ______.

4. One or Two Features & Benefits You Like (Body part 2)

Additionally in the body and after talking about a pain point, it’s great to mention one or two of your favourite features of the product, and what the benefit is.

You can refer to the same features/benefits section for this part of the video

Some examples of features/beneifts:

• Charge 3 devices at once = no messy cables, no clutter. A charging hub (feature/benefit for PowerBase 2)
• Wireless charging = no more plugging in or broken cables. Simple way to charge (feature/benefit for PowerBase 2)
• Magnetic attachment = snaps on easily to your phone and holds on well (feature/benefit for PowerBase 2)

5. Call To Action -Organic or Direct (End: 3-5 Seconds)

The call to action aims to help guide people into the action we want them to take (eg purchase). You should try and summarise the video and then try and get your viewer to take a specific action. We would love for you to choose your final remark on how it has helped you. for example: and then say “get yours today or “shop now”.

Some examples of call to actions:

• Grab yours today!
• Shop now
• Get one, I promise you won’t regret it!

Depending on what product you are reviewing, we have put together a simple and easy to understand list of the features and the related benefits for each product. You don’t have to cover them all, just select the ones that you relate to the most or find true!

7. Summary and Checklist

We do understand that there is a lot of information here, so to summarise we have created a short checklist of what you should have upon completion of the guide and creation and ready to upload.

What is required for upload from you:

• 1 x review video (or multiple parts) of you speaking directly to the camera that covers all video parts (book, body & call to action).
• Have 2 different versions of the 'Hook' filmed.
• Have 2 different versions of the 'Ending' filmed.
• Upload any extra footage (unedited) of b-roll which may include: unboxing, product in use or talking about features/benefits.
